Welcome !

Welcome to St Issey Folk Genealogy. My name is Tim Johnson and I now live in Greater London although I was baptised at Little Petherick and attended school at St Issey and Padstow during the 1960's. This project was started in March 2009 and is based upon a searchable database that in the fullness of time will contain all St Issey - Baptism, Marriage, Burial & Census records for the years 1596 - 1976, along with other documents like Land Tax, Hearth Tax, Voters Lists, Wills and Probate. The easiest way to start, is to select the SEARCH option in the top menu above. Both input boxes allow partial names.

Project Status

Marriages 1597-1958 and Baptisms 1596-1931 have been transcribed and added to the database. Burials 1602-1992 have been transcribed and are now located under Reports. School Admissions 1880-1920 along with Land Tax, Hearth Tax, Voters Lists and many others are located under Transcriptions. Census returns from 1841-1911 for St Issey are included in the database records for individuals. The 1939 Register compiled at the outbreak of war is an extremely important genealogical resource and I have transcribed the St Issey portion. All St Issey Census links are below.
